We are truly chuffed to have been included in the Australian Financial Review’s Best Places to Work 2021 list, awarded #5 in our category.
We’re a company built on purpose. We use design and innovation to create brighter, more sustainable futures. As a design consultancy, creating the right environment for our wonderfully diverse and talented team is essential.
The award is based on a detailed review, including a confidential staff survey and a review of our workplace practices and policies.
Today’s CEO, Damon O’Sullivan, said, “It’s a wonderful milestone for us to be recognised as one of Australia’s best places to work. We’re a company that applies creativity and design to our most important challenges; we’ve been fortunate to attract a highly engaged, highly talented team that shares a genuine commitment to making a difference.”
“We’ve always been a place that values distributed leadership, and a culture built on trust and openness. In recent years, as we’ve matured, we’ve worked hard to build out our policies and processes to deliver on our values and create a great experience for our team.”

In the past few years, we’ve restructured Today, redesigned our ways of working, and embraced flexibility and remote working, all in service of creating a place where our team is well supported and creativity and collaboration can thrive.
Many of the qualities that we need to be great design partners, also provide the foundation for a great culture, such as transparency, collaboration, inclusivity, creativity and optimism. Nurturing the right culture within our team is absolutely essential to delivering great outcomes for our clients.
Today's Head of People, Kylie Crane, said that the recognition that the award represents is due to the link between its people and its core values. “Every decision that we make regarding people is made values-first, this is fundamental to what makes Today a truly great place to work.” In addition, Kylie says that Today's work is shaped by each and every member of the Today team. “We are a real community of people that genuinely want to do good. Everyone has a voice in how we shape our work, our work experiences and the positive impact we make for our clients and our communities.”
“Our ambition is to make a real dent and change our world for the better,” Damon said. “To do that, we need to create a place where very talented people can do their best work. This award is a wonderful endorsement that we are on the right track.”
