Today marks a significant milestone in our journey as Australia's most awarded impact agency. We're thrilled to announce that DrawHistory, the pioneering B Corp agency from Perth, is joining the Today family—and we're welcoming incredible new talent to our leadership team as we expand our national footprint.
Two B Corps, one shared vision
When we first connected with Jeffrey Effendi and Angel Chen from DrawHistory , it felt like finding kindred spirits. Here were two founders who, like us, believed that design could be a force for good—that the best solutions come from working with communities, not just for them.
Over the past decade, DrawHistory has built an impressive legacy across Western Australia and the broader Asia-Pacific region. They've worked with everyone from local Perth organisations like Edith Cowan University and St John of God to global brands including Google, Change.org, and UNICEF Australia. Most importantly, they've done it all while maintaining their commitment to being Western Australia's first Certified B Corp agency.
"What drew us to Today was the shared belief that design can tackle the challenges that matter most," says Angel Chen, DrawHistory Co-Founder, who's joining us as an Advisor. "We're not just combining agencies—we're amplifying our collective impact."
Our new leadership team
Growth isn't just about expanding geographically—it's about bringing together the right people with the right expertise. We're incredibly excited to welcome several senior leaders who will help us deliver even greater impact:
Alisia Muscat joins us as Chief Operations Officer, bringing her strategic leadership experience from AKQA to help us scale our operations nationally while maintaining our commitment to quality and impact.
Louise Sergent becomes our Managing Director for NSW, bringing her brand and communications expertise from BBDO to strengthen our Sydney presence and deepen our relationships with purpose-driven organisations across the state.
Dan Woods takes on the role of Head of Public Service Practice, leveraging his experience from Paper Giant to expand our work with government and public sector clients in the nation's capital.
We're also thrilled to promote Mark Davis from Head of Digital to National Partnerships Director, recognising his outstanding contribution to our growth and his deep understanding of how technology can serve communities.
And of course, Jeffrey Effendi joins Angel as an Advisor, bringing his Google and Change.org background and co-founder experience to help guide our strategic direction and brand and communications capabilities.
Supporting our clients and communities
"Our shared purpose makes us a stronger, more capable organisation ready to deliver greater impact across the region." Adam Morris, Co-Founder and Chief Design Officer at Today, adds: "Greater impact begins at the local level. Our philosophy is that the most effective solutions are tailored to the unique fabric of a community. For Perth, this means the fantastic local team is now amplified by our national strength in strategic design, research, complex digital products, and applied AI—deepening our collective ability to deliver world-class innovation for impact right here in Western Australia.”
Here's what changes:
Enhanced capabilities: DrawHistory's expertise in brand and communications perfectly complements our service design and digital transformation work. Together, we can offer more comprehensive solutions to complex challenges.
National reach: With team members now across Victoria, NSW, ACT, Queensland, and Western Australia, we can work more closely with local communities while bringing national perspective and resources.
Deeper impact: More talent means more capacity to take on the ambitious projects that create lasting change. We're ready to tackle bigger challenges and support more organisations in their mission-driven work.
Looking to tomorrow
When we started Today, we had a simple but ambitious vision: to help organisations tackle important challenges with the people who are most affected by them. Every step we've taken—from our early days in Melbourne to our expansion across the east coast, and now to Western Australia—has been guided by that same principle.
The DrawHistory integration represents more than growth; it represents evolution. We're not just getting bigger—we're getting better at what we do. We're strengthening our ability to work with diverse communities, to navigate complex challenges, and to create solutions that truly make a difference.
"This isn't about integration or expansion for its own sake," explains our CEO and Co-Founder, Damon O'Sullivan. "It's about building the capacity to serve communities wherever they are, with the expertise they need, when they need it."
The future
As we celebrate this milestone, we're also looking ahead. The challenges facing our communities—from climate change to social inequality, from digital exclusion to economic uncertainty—require collaborative, creative, and community-centred responses. They require the kind of work that Today and DrawHistory have always been passionate about.
We're excited to leverage our expanded capabilities to address these challenges. We're excited to work with new partners and communities across Australia. And we're excited to continue pushing the boundaries of what's possible when design, technology, and community wisdom come together.
Thank You
To our existing clients, partners, and team: thank you for your continued trust and support. This expansion is only possible because of the strong foundation we've built together.
To the DrawHistory team and clients: welcome to the Today family. We're honoured to continue the incredible work you've started and excited to see what we can achieve together.
To the communities we serve: this is just the beginning. We're more committed than ever to working alongside you to create the change you want to see.
Here's to the next chapter of impact, innovation, and meaningful change.
