A new way to buy a home with Assemble

Gold Winner: Design Strategy

Housing choice and affordability in Australia has been declining since the 1980s, but Assemble has a mission to change this. Together, we developed a new campaign platform and customer experience that deliberately challenges the absurdity of the housing market.

"In response to the growing housing affordability crisis in Australia, Assemble’s campaign “Imagine less. Experience more” challenges the prevailing housing market norms. This new campaign platform aims to realise a fairer housing system by addressing the specific needs of future customers with targeted messaging and user-friendly tools. The Jury was impressed with how the campaign strategically confronts market absurdities and aligns with Assemble’s mission to innovate in housing affordability, showcasing a design strategy that effectively resonates with its audience." — Good Design Awards Jury

The platform’s impactful design supports mental health education for over 400,000 students. Bluurb.me gives youth access to the support they need

Winner: Social Impact

Bluurb.me : a fit for purpose product for youth, with all aspects from its features, language, structure, functions and colour determined by co-designers and co-creators to make an engaging and accessible experience.

Through trauma-informed, supported co-design and co-creation workshops with young people—who have a diverse lived experience of mental health and disabilities—we understood what they wanted and needed from this product.

Close collaboration with Dr Lisa Saulsman and clinical psychologists from the University of Western Australia's School of Psychological Science, ensures the clinical rigour of the product.

"The Jury congratulates Bluurb.me for their creation of a user-friendly mental health education tool designed for young Australians. By combining evidence-based cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) techniques with an engaging digital guide, Bluurb.me provides valuable support for managing emotions. This innovative tool is a commendable effort in making mental health resources accessible and effective for youth, empowering them to take control of their well-being." — Good Design Awards Jury
