Helping young people navigate the new world of work
In partnership with the Foundation for Young Australians

Yesterday
Forces of change are making it more difficult for young people to develop the skills to enjoy a fulfilling and long-lasting working career. We worked with the Foundation for Young Australians (FYA) to re-shape the landscape of career advice, address the way job matching happens, and, critically, to be proactive in driving the process of changing mindsets.

Today
We collaborated with young people to co-design an engaging online tool. The strategy and design was led by insights into the emotional drivers, major barriers, and the immediate value young people might experience when thinking about their future.

Tomorrow
The result is Pivot: a simple and insightful tool to help people find career opportunities and open up career pathways. Since the launch of Pivot, data from people who use the tool is informing the identification of skill gaps of people living in South West Victoria. This data will better inform micro-credential courses at South West Tafe and employee training.
It was a pretty big idea when we started and seeing how it's come together has taken a lot of incredible collaborative work, thoughtful insights, fast turnarounds and technical expertise from a lot of wonderful people at Today.
