Co-creation in complex settings

Collaborating to co-create social change inside complex systems.

What is co-creation?

Co-creation is a collaborative approach that brings together people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives to solve complex problems and create innovative solutions. This process involves engagement, dialogue, and co-design to foster a shared understanding of the issues, unlocking the full potential of collective intelligence and creativity.

Today helps organisations of all shapes and sizes co-create with the communities they serve

Today works with government, nonprofits and commercial organisations to run programs of co-creation: We make safe, brave spaces for creativity. Our practice centres lived experience, bringing service users, service providers, and policymakers together to make the future they want to see.

Working in close collaboration, co-creating teams build a shared understanding, using their collective intelligence and creativity to design services that are safe, authentic, accessible and innovative. Today guides these teams to see and prioritise key challenges, generate new ideas and insights, and develop contextually relevant solutions that meet the needs of diverse user groups. By involving a range of perspectives and expertise, co-creation ensures that solutions are robust, inclusive, and fit for purpose.

Embracing complexity to find new ways forward

In complex settings, issues are often interrelated, dynamic, and uncertain: This is where co-creation can be particularly valuable. It builds trust, fosters collaboration between different groups, and enables stakeholders to work together in a more coordinated and effective way.

Today specialises in organising, coordinating and facilitating collaboration in these difficult and ambiguous challenge areas. We bring a strengths-based approach that is driven by a commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment that values and respects diversity and inclusion. We have established and proven systems and processes in place to prepare and support participants, facilitators and support staff through all stages of co-creation.
